Elections Committee
Overview
The Election Committee Chair is appointed by the Board of Directors and the Chair appoints the 6 -8 members of the committee.
The Election Committee is responsible for the election process from the first request for candidates through the announcement of the winners. Many tasks must be completed including but not limited to the following:
- Develop an election timeline.
- Search for candidates.
- Presents candidates to homeowners.
- Oversees printing and distribution of ballot materials.
- Assures ballot box is secure and safeguards ballots.
- Research, develop, write and implement all guidelines necessary to direct fair, unbiased and accurate election nominations, campaigning, voting and ballot counting.
- Direct a volunteer team of homeowners to count ballots.
- Announce winner(s) to Board President and the Homeowners.
