When you fill out a Change of Address Form, according to the U.S. Postal Service, it generally takes a minimum of 7 to 10 postal business days from the provided effective date, before any mail is forwarded. In general, only First Class mail will be forwarded. Temporary Mail Forwarding automatically expires after 6 months.
