HOMEOWNER SECURITY
Personal Security is a concern of us all. There are those that will take advantage of our lack of security, such as open garage doors, unlocked doors and windows, unlocked vehicles, etc. Please use extreme care around your home to make sure that you do not accidently invite thefts of your property. The following are just a few things that you can do to preclude that from happening:
- Always close your garage doors, whether you are home or not.
- Check all doors and windows to make sure they are locked.
- Do not leave a house keys under the door mats or in mail box.
- Install a home alarm system.
- If you return home and find a door open or tampered with, do not enter. Leave immediately and call 911.
- Lock your vehicles, even if they are in the garage or on the driveway.
- Do not store valuables in your vehicles unless they are locked in the trunk.
- If you are expecting FEDEX or UPS to deliver packages, check your door frequently. If you will be away when the packages are delivered, make arrangements with your neighbor to pick them up so someone else does not.
