IRONOAKS TENNIS CLUB NEWS
As fall approaches, many IronOaks Tennis Club members are making their way back to Sun Lakes, and those of us who have been here throughout the summer are anxiously awaiting their return. There are so many exciting programs and activities offered in the coming year that we can’t wait to get started!
Before we begin our new season of fun, we’re wrapping up our summer season on Saturday, September 17, with a tennis round robin social, “Hurray! The Monsoons are Gone”. All Sun Lakes communities – tennis members and friends – are welcome to this last summer blast! Don’t miss out on the fun, sign up on the patio bulletin board today!
Kick-off the upcoming 2011-2012 tennis season at the Club’s second Member Appreciation Open House on Saturday, October 29, 10 a.m. to noon. Prospective members are encouraged to join current members in the day’s activities and learn more about our growing organization.
Another important date to note is Sunday, December 11. Yes, we know the holidays seem like a long way off but you won’t want to miss the Club’s annual holiday dinner dance, featuring great dance music by The Colorado Connection.
We hope that everyone, particularly IronOaks residents, will stop by to see the “facelift” that Courts 3 through 10 received this summer when they were resurfaced with post-tension concrete, spruced up with a bit of fresh paint and finished off with new fencing. Add in an updated landscape that not only allows for less debris and cleaner courts but also creates a beautiful setting for our state-of-the-art facility. We all should be very proud of these improvements and all that has been accomplished during our Club’s first year!
